AUERBERG, GLASKORB 1
The wire basket is a design by the designers of Auerberg, who were inspired by a trip to Namibia. There they discovered an ingenious wire basket, which for them was a kinetic wonder: Three curved wire pieces were connected in a circle, creating a fascinating sculptural object – whether used as a salad spinner, fruit basket or more.
The design, which came to Africa in earlier times, now finds its way back to Europe and convinces here with its extraordinary appearance as well as its functionality. Flexibly movable, the wire basket can be formed into different silhouettes and thus appears again and again in a new form.
The design object functions on the one hand standing on the sideboard as a sculpture, serves in the kitchen as a fruit or vegetable bowl or finds its place filled with sweets on the side table.
